Siphon Drainage Systems -Hardware

The hardware used in Yude’s siphon drainage systems with the internal and external hot-dip galvanising process has the following properties and characteristics:

• Corrosion resistance: The hot-dip galvanising process effectively protects steel from corrosion. By forming a protective zinc coating on the surface of the steel, it maintains a long service life even when exposed to harsh environments, such as acid rain, salt spray and other conditions.
• Abrasion resistance: The zinc coating not only protects against corrosion, but also provides some resistance to abrasion. This is an important property for drainage systems with frequent contact with water flow and possibly solid particles.
• Self-healing: If the surface of the galvanised coating is scratched or slightly damaged, the zinc can form a zinc oxide layer over the damage and this new protective layer can continue to protect the steel and extend the life of the pipe.
• Economic benefits: Although the initial cost of hot-dip galvanising is relatively high, its long-term durability reduces the frequency of replacement and maintenance, thereby reducing long-term maintenance costs.
• Environmentally friendly: The materials used in the hot-dip galvanising process (e.g. zinc) are recyclable, which helps reduce waste and supports sustainable construction practices.
• Comprehensive protection: hot-dip galvanising inside and out ensures that both the internal and external surfaces of the pipe receive a uniform layer of protection, which is particularly important in applications where aggressive elements may be encountered both internally and externally.
